SAEE aims to build capabilities in energy economics, develop professional and technical abilities in the energy sector, and advance societal knowledge of energy economics through supporting and producing related research. The Association is also an affiliate of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) which is a global and non-profit professional association. SAEE plans to host the IAEE international conference in Riyadh in early 2023.
